It’s time for me to share my photos again.

These are taken exactly a week ago on jo’s birthday.

We met up at suntec swensons for a hearty dinner .

Other than eating and crapping, we also went for a brief walk.
Despite opposition from the others, i insisted on going round the fountain for a spin.
According to the instructions, one must stretch your hands out to reach for the waters, make a wish and walk round the mini fountain 3 times. Hopefully my wish will come true!

PAOs @ Sentosa

Last Sunday, we went to the Sentosa for an outing.

Firstly, on ai di’s recommendation, we went to take the luge and skyride.

The luge is definitely not for the faint-hearted. It can get really fast down the slope. Initially, I cannot control the vehicle very well and kept hitting on to the curbside and got stuck. Cao pai seh… Luckily, Junwei stayed back and companied me. Later, I don’t know how to control the speed and I sped off like nobody’s business. I still have a long way to go to drive this dumb vehicle. Haha…

The second ride is much relaxing but is equally nerve-wrecking for me. It is the skyride. Our feet are left dangling in the middle of nowhere and I was really afraid of the shaky ride. Nonetheless, the view was absolutely breathtaking. If only I was able to calm down and enjoy the scenery around me…

Who can go Sentosa without a trip down the beach?

We went to Siloso beach and played some beach games. After some time, the merciless sun wore us down and we took our deserving rest.

We also went into the waters to cool down. The guys enjoyed putting sand on aidi’s hair and hearing her deafening shriek. While I sit back and enjoy watching them having their nonsensical fun.

After that, limin and huifoon suggested going to Palawan beach for photo-taking. Then on, limin cannot stop her photo-taking hysterics and her fingers never cease clicking the buttons on the camera. She made two cameras go battery flat that day.

We also went to the watch the songs of the sea, the musical fountain show. The story itself is not amazing but the fantastic fountain show was what took my breath away. What a way to end our tiring day!

Pon pon club

On the 9 May 2007, the legendary pon pon club of SAJC met for the very first time after about 1000 days for an official gathering.
However, on the rightful day itself, Becky had to go for her tuition, ending up with Jiaqi, Yanni and me only.
Yanni is still the cool and sophisticated representative of the club while Jiaqi is still Jiaqi, the arty farty sotong of the club.
We just chatted the whole night about our lives and future at the Sushi Tei over at Taka.
It was fun and relaxing just chatting and catching with them. And this is just the start of our formidable gathering.
Later, on the 15 May 2007, Becky initiated another gathering for the pon pon club. However, Yanni cannot make it for this other outing cos she has to meet up her significant other in Shanghai. She has such exciting life:)
This time round, we decided to wreak havoc at the elegant and posh Indian restaurant in Vivocity. This is our delicious spread of Indian cuisine...

During the meal, I learnt some unforgettable lessons:
1. Masala is a tomato based Indian food and curry is a onion based food. I wonder why I never see onions in curry before.
2. Never drink a cup of pineapple juice at one go. It makes u go to the loo very efficiently.
3. Never say “laugh” before u help others take photos. Or else people like Becky can go on laughing and laughing non-stop and u will not be able to take one successful photo. I think we got the waiter a little pissed but they still managed to keep their professionalism and entertain the three wreckers.
After a satisfying meal over at “Go India”, we made another stop over at Bakers’ Inn to enjoy our favourite cakes.
And took more photos to satisfy our photo-taking needs.
It has really been a long time since I last met all of them together. Although we lost touch for so long, we can still amazingly gather and have fun. It has been an absolute joy hanging out with them.

I Think my Guppies are Carnivorous

I started this guppy craze of mine because I was very much interested in breeding then. Guppies are interesting animals because they have many differing traits such as fantail, arrowheads, albinos and much more. And they are easy to breed. In fact, they are too easy to breed.

Very soon, my collection of guppies increased significantly. I feed them with normal baby food and egg yolk. I made this amazing discovery that egg yolk sticks to my fingers and I began to feed them with egg yolk on my fingers. Ever since, they were never afraid of my hands. Whenever I changed the water in the fish tank, they will all hoard towards my hands and start nibbling. This is just the start of them getting carnivorous.

I grew lazy and decided to combine my gold fishes and guppies together. Initially, I was afraid my big gold fish will gobble up my tiny weeny guppies. But little had I expected, it was my group of guppies that bullied my goldfishes. Over time, they attacked two of my smallest goldfishes and even ate up one of them. I was astonished when I saw the desperate sight of my dead goldfish. All its organs were gone, remaining only its skin. Quickly, I separated the two fishes and conveniently ignored my guppies in a bucket but they never die. Later, I grew soft-hearted and decided to settle them in a proper fish-tank.

Recently, I saw one dead guppy in the fish-tank but turned a blind eye to it. Today, I changed the water and find something amiss. There was no corpse for me to clear. My carnivorous guppies must have eaten up their poor friend.

Now, I can safely conclude that my guppies are evil and cold-blooded.

Tyra Banks

She is nominated as one of the heroes and pioneers in the TIME 100 list.

Many may know that she is this African American model who hosts ANTM and wears swimsuits on the walkway.

But she is definitely not one of those shallow models who keep themselves lean to wear small clothes or put airs around her.

Tyra Banks is approachable and amicable. Her idol is Oprah Winfrey and she aims to be like her. She hosts a talk show of her own to teach women of their rights and how to love thyself. Tyra even started a foundation, TZone, to empower young women in dealing with issues of physicality and self-respect. She also used her own weight gain to confront the current weighty issues and give girls and young women the courage to embrace their weights.

Tyra counts as one of my heroes. I adore her passion, her audacity and her charm.

As what Naomi Wolf says: “she is far, far more than just a body in a bathing suit.”

Down the Memory Lane

A few days ago, wanting came over to my place before we went to lydia’s house for fun and laughter, peace and joy.

Don’t know how, but we started reminiscing our glorious past and recounting our moments of folly. It was tons of fun. We even started flipping our yearbooks.

After that, we went over to lydia’s house.

Lydia never changes. Her house never changes. Her family is still warm and friendly as ever. I love to go to her place.

We played Blockus, Cluedo, heart attack and truth or dare. Cybill always ended up doing the truth or dare. Jo continues to wow me with her powerful grasp of English.

It was really heart-warming to get together again.
