Words can be really interesting.
For some stupid reason, i think 'level' is a very cute word.
If we are able to turn the 'e' around, it would have been a symmetrical word.
Then i started thinking of more symmetrical words but was unable to due to my limited vocabulary.
I asked wan ting and she said "ANNA" straight away. Bravo! Now i've got a symmetrical word in my pocket. But come to think of it, 'anna' is not exactly a word, it is a name.
If we are talking about names, 'AvivA', an insurance brand is also symmetrical.
Anyway, do u noe Boon Lay is an interesting name for a place? Hmm... At least to me.
My father is called boon hoe and my mom is lay see. So if we remove the hoe and the see, it will form boon lay.
By the way, my parents met at boon lay, where my mom used to stay.
I'm not about to disclose my parent's love story farther... haha...
Come to think of it, i'm staying at toh yi now, which so happens to contain one of the part of my name.

After six long hours of tuition, I took a long long bus trip all the way from woodlands to ecp.
All for my pa chalet...
Just a side thought, why are all chalets located in the east?
Anyway, this time round, we had more seniors joining us.
And, as usual, we had bbq food for dinner.

After food, its just games, fun and laughter.
And i had never had so much fun just playing uno before ever since my primary school years.
Thinking about primary school suddenly make me feel so old, haha...
Then we tried to watch the sunrise...
We at ecp early in the morningThe sky is red, the clouds are everywhere and the sea is just plain dark.
So we decided to entertain ourselves with photo-taking, chit-chatting and sing-alongs.
I love gathering sessions like this because its only through times like this that we can catch up with one another and bond.
Let's look forward to our next successful campus concert!
p.s. I feel so recharged after bathing at home. I can totally go for my tuition now...

I don't wanna live like a banana.
I rather live like an orange. Smells good, taste good and look good.
Well grapes is ok to me too. At least they come in bunches so u have lotsa friends with u:)
And for your information, i hate bananas.
It is slimey and sticky.
It is yucky.
Its taste lingers in your mouth and refuses to go away.
But i still like banana nut crunch cereal.
At least it is not slimey and sticky.
In fact, it is crispy and sweet.

For some ridiculous reason, i was super excited for the photo-taking session today...
Woke up early in the morning to get myself ready.
Had my mom to put on make up for me to look good and professional.
And i even smile to myself at the mirror and asked my sister for my best smile.
I think i'm getting a little hysterical over a small little photo-taking session.
Anyway, i went over to ching ting's house before going to school.
And had lotsa ice-cream at her place... right before the photo-taking session.
But who cares about your lip-stick if u have the yummy and delicious ice-cream right before your eyes!!!
By the way, the photo-shot was pretty lame.
We were only given two shots and we had to travel all the way to school.
And the photographer keep telling me to turn my head here and there till i got a little confused.
For some reason, i found the photographer a little amusing and had to control my giggles to look as professional as i can.
Luckily, i went back together with my friends if not this senseless trip would have spoilt my day.
To think i was excited for the shot initially...

Woke up early today as usual for work...
But unlike other days, suddenly i felt empty inside...
I felt aimless, like there's no purpose in life...
Then i started doing some soul-searching.
But nothing seems to ring a bell in me.
I'm in serious trouble.
How can i live without a goal?

I went to Thelma's employer's house today for a visit because she is going to leave us for London. Ps. her employer and his family is out for holidays in the Down Under.
By the way, Thelma worked for us as a maid for about 4 years about 11 years ago.
Actually, it has been real donkey years since i last met her. And ironically, i only get to meet her again when she is about to leave.
Thelma has never changed. She is still sweet, amiable and likable. In her eyes, we are still her sweet little darlings.
She baked a little cake for us for tea.Still, i know we all still love her.
Can't wait to join her in London if given the opportunity.
Another highlight of the day is the legendary house we went to. It is certainly not a flatter that i call it a legend.
Her employer's bungalow is one of the colonial houses left by the Britains.

And of the whole lot of houses there, the one that we stepped in is actually the most ancient. It was built back in 1905. In other words, the house was built more than a century ago. Isn't it amazing?Also, I heard from thelma a lot of tourist buses do drive into this area for sightseeing and photo-taking. Right now, i feel really privileged to be able to enter the house.

As usual, yesterday morning i have had to tutor my 2 princes.
I bought something for my first prince because he earned it...
Saw these two cute bottles of soft-drink over at a supermarket when i went shopping with my family. I even think of my students when i go shopping. Haha...
And i forced him to take a picture with his presents.Anyway, the pepsi is intended for his elder bro who went out working for his parents. I've gotta be fair to the brothers.
And finally, 04s51 met up officially this holiday. Thanks to shraddha and chi hsien, our regular organisers.
We met at Bukit Panjang Plaza, Delifrance for a not so delicious dinner. I've gotta lament the fact that the food is served pretty slow there and the food is not very satisfying too. Even our obedient and docile chii boon could not tolerate any further and she wrote comments to the managers. So much for the lousy food, let's talk about the much happy stuff.
Its fun meeting up with people u nvr meet up for so long. it is great seeing yin jin and joni back from US safe and sound. In fact, joni came back to singapore to especially gather with us and all her other singapore friends cos her hometown is actually in malaysia. I know yin jin is very glad to see us, especially me, haha... She must have missed suaning me... And my dear old peiyiing didn't even inform me she came back from malaysia.
Just a side note, our mark cooped in the east took a journey to the west and got lost. Haha... He mistook the BPP as Garden Plaza cos there was a sign at BPP saying Garden Plaza. I found this very amusing. Haha...

Phew... Luckily i passed.
And i watched the transformers, finally, after listening to many many peoples' comments about it.
All in all, its an entertaining show. Its worth a watch if u have the time to spare. But most of the time, quoting from what jeng wai told me, all u see is just pieces of metals fighting each other which does not make sense most of the time. But the girls are hot and the guys are cute in the show anyway. Hehe...

Went for the NDP rehearsal on saturday. Thanks for the tix, Aidi!
The show was quite a disappointment cos there was no fireworks. Sigh...
But at least the military display was great.
And i was lucky to have jeng wai right beside me to explain all the military stuff to me. If not the marching would have made no sense to me, hehe...

the starfishes and stingrays are the cutest bunch...
wish i can buy a couple and watch them dance the whole day:)
I c this as the bouncing jellyfish, but jw laughed off tt idea...

Anyway, after the whole performance, it was still early so aidi suggested to relax and chill at TCC.
I drank the whatever oreo frappe. It tasted good but the strong coffee caused me to toss and turn on my bed till 4 am in the morning. I hate getting insomnia. And especially so when i have to wake up early next morning.
My weekend mornings are always packed with tuition. So just like any other sundays, i woke up early, freshen up and hit myself awake for my quest to earn more bucks.
And yesterday, i started my first tuition with this pri 2 boy over at hillview. He was very amiable and cute. I simply adore him. And his mother was also very friendly. She fetched me from the bus stop and even sent me out of her apartment to show me the bus stop. And she actually even invited me for lunch but i kindly refused.
Suddenly, it occured to me that my sundays are gonna be beautiful because i'll start my sundays with my fave boys. Now, at least i have sundays to look forward to everyday!
Then, i went for the Milk Run. Basically, i just strolled 4 km around the Singapore River with my friends and enjoy the magnificent scenery which i have never noticed before. Sometimes, its always good to slow down your life a little and appreciate the small little things around you. Its certainly a good way to relax and destress.
After the milk run, i went for an enjoyable dinner with wan ting and hong jing over at kenny rodgers to recharge myself. I've always liked kenny rodgers for its guilty cheese pasta. Its pretty stupid that i enjoy the side dishes more than the main dishes. Anyhow, i think i had laughed off all my calories over at kenny and i should have ordered 2 side dishes of cheese pasta. I still remember it was actually lydia that introduce such wonderful food to me. Lydia, lydia, when you gonna bring me to kenny rodgers and mug again. Don mug with ban leng only leh, i get jealous one...
Finally, there's a big problem with having a fun-filled weekends.
One will definitely get a serious condition called the Monday Blues.
Reluctantly, i dragged myself up from the comfy bed and opened my small and puffy eyes to face a brand new day. Without a doubt, i am getting the early Monday blues.
Then when i stepped out of my house, my neighbor's friend leeli who came for a stayover also left her house and i managed to catch a good chat with her. To my surprise, she is actually getting married soon. Time just flies. When i first know her, she was still studying in np. Then she went over to Leicester to further study and earned a prestigious first class honor. And now she's telling me she is tying the knots soon. I'm so happy for her.
Later on, when i reached my workplace, my aunt bought bee hoon for me for my breakfast which ends up being my lunch cos i ate my bf at home. Then she bought me Long john's for lunch which i brought home to share with my sisters in the end. I think she's really trying to fatten me up, haha. But anyhow, it was really sweet of my aunt to buy food for me. Its the thought that counts. I feel so blessed and loved!
Anyhow, i got my first pay!
So basically, my monday ended not being so blue... It gradually turns more purple throughout the day as more red is added.

Gonna sleep now or else i'll get tuesday blues instead...
